Sedano’s Celebrates 40 Years of Serving the Florida Market

Warm sunshine, upbeat music, and tasty cuisine are what most people picture when they think of Miami. Hispanic culture is fundamental to this whole thing. The Guerra and Herrán families’ 1962 founding of Sedano’s Supermarkets is often cited as a turning point in the city’s knowledge of Latin American culture in South Florida.

The supermarket has launched a yearlong series of sales and festivities to mark the occasion of its 60th year.

Sedano’s Supermarkets’ chief marketing officer, Javier Herrán, expressed his company’s gratitude to its long-term employees and loyal customers. “We’re very grateful to our long-term employees and loyal customers for allowing Sedano’s to be part of their friends and families for the past 60 years,” Herrán stated. The motto of our supermarket is “quality food at the best prices while always keeping in mind the flavors of our customers’ homelands and culture.”
