Sedano’s Supermarkets, Vicky Bakery and other leading companies joined in an initiative to help people in need

During the morning of today, November 21, Sedano’s Supermarkets, Vicky Bakery and other leading companies such as Café Bustelo, Coca-Cola, Goya Foods and RAVA Group joined in an initiative to help people in need in the midst of the pandemic and contribute with their Thanksgiving dinner.

“There are a thousand families nominated by other people in the community and who need help. It is an honor for us to be able to extend that hand to them when they need it most. It has been a very difficult year and we are here to help,” Pedro Mesa, Sedano’s supervisor, told Diario Las Américas.

At the supermarket located at 38th avenue and West Flagler, tents were improvised where workers distributed free food to those who arrived at the scene. In the activity, special security measures were kept to prevent the proliferation of COVID-19.

“We are celebrating something special. A Thanksgiving event to give back to the community and those families that have been affected by COVID. We are happy to have come together and to be able to help these families in South Florida,” said Amy Cao, Vicky Bakery’s director of marketing.
