Hundreds of families received a complete Thanksgiving meal  on Friday, Nov. 20 at Sedano’s flagship store on Bird Road and 87th Avenue
MIAMI, Nov. 20, 2015 – Sedano’s Supermarkets, the number one Hispanic grocer in the United States, along with Coca-Cola kicked off it’s second annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, where hundreds of underprivileged members of our community received a Thanksgiving meal bundle inclusive of a turkey and a number of ingredients to prepare a Thanksgiving meal for a family of four. Together with local organizations and elected officials, Sedano’s distributed vouchers to pre-selected individuals prior to the day of the drive.
“We are extremely happy to have celebrated our second annual Thanksgiving Food Drive,” said Javier Herrán, Chief Marketing Officer for Sedano’s Supermarkets. “Giving back to the community has always been at the heart and soul of our culture and family. We feel privileged and truly humbled to be able to help so many families enjoy a happy Thanksgiving.”
Among the participating officials and organizations were: Mayor Tomas Regalado, Mayor Jim Cason, Commissioner Javier Souto, Commissioner Luciano Suarez and Commissioner Willy Gort as well as Amigos for Kids, Neighbors 4 Neighbors and many others.
